Profile Information

Share your story or testimony about why or how you became a Christian:
I had just learned I was expecting my youngest daughter and my husband at the time and I were going through some major finincial issues. I called my pastor and asked if he had any ideas of was to deal withthe issues. He asked me if I was praying and reading my Bible, I answered honestly and said no. He asked if I was saved and I said I think so...in other words, I wasn't. I began to cry and asked Brother Mike to help me find God. He lead me to my salvation over the phone. I had a weight lifted of my shoulders when I finished, it is something I will never forget!
Your age?
30-49
How would you like to impact the world for Christ?
I want to show the world of non-believers, and believers alike, that Christians can be influential leaders in a secular world. I will lead by example, not constantly talking about my faith, but living by showing my faith. I will to minister to those in need in physical, emotional and spiritual ways...using the gifts God has given me to help others. God has recently shown me by some things that I have been going through that He alone is in control. It is my goal to turn the misery will come my ministry!
Relationship Status/ Interests: (Choose all that apply)
Single, Looking for friendship, Making Connections
Who are you...Tell us about yourself? Hobbies, interests, quirks, favorite colors, etc.
I am a pretty simple woman and I don't take pleasure in the material things in life. I love the Lord, my family and friends and the time I have with all three are so very important to me.

I am a daughter, sister and mother. My daughters are 14 and 11, and while they live in another state with their dad, I am thrilled to be able to have them with me during the summers. My daughters are my life and I am so blessed to know I will see them in Heaven, as their salvation has been assured.

I love sprots!!! Hockey is my favorite, but give me a baseball, football, or basketball game and I am happy. I am also a great cook, and while I don't spend as much time in the kitchen as I would like, I am there any chance I get.

Some of my favorite things....
-Florwer...Iris
-Color...Purple and Green
-Food...Italian and Mexican
-Music...Chirstian, anything from Gospel to Rock

Anything else you would like to know...feel free to ask.

Favorite Movies?
My all time favorite is To Kill a Mockingbird...
Favorite Music/Bands?
Third Day, Michael W. Smith, Selah, Billy Buchanan & Fusebox, Charity Von
What are you looking for in a friend? What are you looking for in a spouse? (Optional Question)
In a friend I am looking for someone who is true to their word, as honesty is so very important to me. While it is not a requirement, I love when my friends are Christians. My closest friends are the ones who love me for who I am and with whom I can go from giddy and fun to serious and in depth conversation with..all at the same time. My friends are there for me in trying times and for that I am so thankful.

In a spouse I am looking for my best friend. I am looking for a man who wants to know all the little things about me, who will stand beside me and not try to change me just to fit his needs, but will help me change for His needs. A man for whom being a Biblical wife comes easy and without dread. The man I marry will love me for who I am and laugh with me, as well as at me. He will be devoted to me, as I will be to him.

My Life Verse

This verse was brought to my attention by an inmate at a prison I was working at in Florida in a way that only God could have dreamed of. I was working the the legal library at a prison in Florida and always listened to the WayFM station on my way to and from work, as well as in my office. One day I sent an email to to the station to tell them how much I enjoyed the morning show and how greatful was for the station as I made my drive to and from work everyday. A few days later my email was read on the air by the morning show hosts and many people commented on my email. A few days leter I recieved a note from an inmate in solitary confinement thanking me. He listened to WayFM and heard my email being read. He wanted said that he often thought he was the only Christian at the prison and was so glad to know he was not alone, even in his confinement. He wrote this verse at the bottom of the note and it has hit home for me many times since.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:11-12

A few days after recieving the note I sent another email to the station telling them about the note and the verse. That evening one of the morning show hosts called me at home in tears. He was so moved by the simple fact that my sharing my joy for the music touched even the most "dispicable" of lives. The following day the morning show hots talked about the story again. It became obvious that God's plan for my working in a prison had nothing to do with my work at all. Two days later I was terminated by the prison...due to budget cuts. God did have a plan for me and I thank him everyday!

God's gifts

There are some gifts from God that we never expect to get. Though we pray for them on a regular basis, these prayers are almost half hearted and not fervent. I am so blessed to be in a church were God moves me and His presence is felt every time I am there, where the pastor speaks not only from God's word but brings in the real world as well. I am blessed in the building of new friendships that are based on God and His desires for me and my life.

While I have faced, and am still facing many cha… Continue

Seasons Travels

I look forward to Summer every year, yet hate when it comes as well. My girls come to see me and I love the time I have with them, but then they have to leave. The last few days have been so hard, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. This Christmas will be nice because they will be back, but then they leave again...

I pray safe travels for them, happiness, a good start to the school year and blessings. Thay are my daughters and I love them more than I can ever put into words...
